Absolutely no Animal testing at any stage of development.

Nothing is derived from crude oil or natural gas. Petrochemicals are harmful not only to our health, but they contribute to pollution and are not Biodegradable.

No genetically modified organisms are intentionally derived in any of the ingredients used.

While not a universally defined term either, it is used to describe products that are not harmful to humans or the environment.

This one is important to me as I am gluten-intolerant. I shop specifically for this to makes sure no gluten-containing grains or aromatic ingredients contain any gluten in the making of our fragrances.

Parabens are preservatives found in our food, our make-up and personal care products. They are known disruptors of hormones and adversely impact reproductive health. Most of you are already aware of this big no-no. We are too. So, it isn’t included in our Fragrances either.

Phthalates are found in many products. They are endocrine disruptors and can lead to many health issues, including developmental disorders in children. You don’t find too many fragrances these days with this ingredient. Nevertheless, you need to know we don’t use them either.

When we choose a fragrance, we make sure it is labeled Carcinogenic-free, Mutagenic-free and free of Reproductive Toxics.

We avoid using these not only in our fragrances but also in our products too. Often used as solvents, there is an indication that these can cross the blood/brain barrier and lead to absorption of harmful ingredients. So, while they are still often used in the skincare industry, we have already banned them from our fragrances but also all of our products.

This ingredient has also raised health concerns and has been linked to inflammation and gut health issues among other yucky symptoms. So, while the verdict is still out on this one by the regulatory authorities, we choose to avoid using it in both our fragrances and our products for the safety and health of our family and customers.

We look for this standard because we believe in ethical sourcing. Whenever you see this on a label, you can rest easy knowing that it is used to indicate an ingredient or product meets social, environmental and economic practices.

Basically, you won’t find any dyes. We use Clays, Herbs and Ethically Sourced, Vegan & Cruelty-free Micas to color our products. If you want to know specifically what products have what colorants, that information is clearly listed under each product description for you.
